HUDSON K9
Terms and Conditions
Hudson K9 Dog Training Limited, registered in England and Wales, company number 16505718. Registered office B1 Redlands Business
Centre, 3 to 5 Tapton House Road, Sheffield, S10 5BY. Telephone 07806 752792. Email hudsonk9ltd@gmail.com. By booking any session,
block or class with us you agree to these terms. Version 1.0, September 2026.
1. Our service. We provide dog training and behaviour coaching. Sessions are 60 minutes and are booked as single sessions, blocks or
classes. Our work is coaching. We teach and guide you to work with your own dog, and except where we have taken physical control of your dog
during a session you remain responsible for your dog throughout. We are not veterinary professionals and nothing we provide is veterinary
advice, diagnosis or treatment. If your dog shows any sign of pain or illness, or there may be a medical cause for their behaviour, you should
consult your vet. We may make continuing our services conditional on a veterinary or veterinary behaviourist referral.
2. Your responsibilities. You must be 18 or over and the legal owner or keeper of the dog, or authorised to act on their behalf. You confirm your
dog is microchipped with up to date details, is fit to take part, and that you have disclosed their history in full, including any bite, aggression
towards people or animals, injury caused, resource guarding, fear or reactivity, and any medical condition, medication or injury. Tell us
immediately if your dog's health or behaviour changes. You agree to attend your sessions, complete the work between them, follow the
instructions and safety guidance given, and use any lead, long line or muzzle we ask you to use. If you withhold or misrepresent your dog's bite
history or any history of aggression, we may end your block immediately with no refund.
3. Results. Results depend on genetics, health, previous learning, environment and how consistently the plan is applied between sessions. We
do not guarantee any specific result or outcome within any timeframe. We provide our services with reasonable care and skill, and nothing in
these terms limits that obligation. Where inconsistent practice between sessions affects progress, this is not a failure of the service on our part.
4. Fees and payment. Fees are agreed with you at the point of booking and confirmed in writing before payment. Any deposit secures time
reserved specifically for you and is not refundable except where these terms or the law provide otherwise. Where a block is paid in instalments
you remain liable for the full fee for the block booked. We may pause or withhold services where fees are overdue.
5. Your right to cancel within 14 days. Where you book online, over the phone or by WhatsApp you have a legal right to cancel within 14 days
of booking and receive a refund, under the Consumer Contracts (Information, Cancellation and Additional Charges) Regulations 2013. Where
you want training to start before those 14 days have passed, then by booking and accepting these terms you expressly ask us to begin within
that period, and you accept that if you cancel after we have started you will be charged a proportionate amount for the sessions already
delivered, and that once the block is delivered in full the right no longer applies. To cancel, notify us in writing by email or WhatsApp. No reason
is needed. We refund by the same payment method within 14 days of the date you notify us.
6. Cancelling or rescheduling a session. Each session is time reserved specifically for you and usually cannot be filled at short notice. More
than 72 hours' notice, we reschedule free of charge. With 72 hours' notice or less, or where you do not attend, the session is treated as delivered
and deducted from your block. If you arrive significantly late we will use the remaining time as best we can, but the session ends at its scheduled
finish time and is treated as delivered. Where a genuine emergency prevents you attending, tell us as soon as you can and we will do what we
reasonably can, at our discretion. If we need to cancel or move a session we will give as much notice as we can and rearrange at the earliest
opportunity at no cost to you.
7. Ending a block early. If your dog dies, is put to sleep, becomes medically unable to continue, or you have to stop for another serious reason
such as your own illness or a bereavement, tell us as soon as you are able. Sessions already delivered are not refunded, any deposit is not
refunded, and any session falling within the 72 hour window above at the point you notify us is treated as delivered. The remaining balance of
what you have paid is refunded to you, or held as a credit against future training if you would prefer.
8. Safety and responsibility for your dog. Dog training carries inherent risk, and behaviour work involving dogs that have bitten or shown
aggression carries more of it. You take part, and ask your dog to take part, at your own risk. You remain the legal owner, keeper and handler of
your dog throughout, and are responsible for your dog's behaviour and for the safety of people, animals and property at all times. You remain
responsible for complying with the law on dog ownership and control, including the Dangerous Dogs Act 1991, the Animals Act 1971 and the
Control of Dogs Order 1992, and with any control, lead or muzzle requirement applying to your dog.
9. Liability. To the fullest extent permitted by law we are not liable for any injury, damage or loss caused by your dog, whether to you, to any
other person, to any animal or to property. Nothing in these terms limits or excludes our liability for death or personal injury caused by our
negligence, for fraud, or for any other liability that cannot lawfully be excluded.
10. Refusing, pausing or ending a programme. We may decline, pause or end a programme where we reasonably believe there is an
unacceptable risk to any person or animal, where safety guidance is not being followed, where information about the dog has been withheld or
misrepresented, where the dog's needs fall outside what we can help with, or where we are treated abusively. Where we end a programme for
safety reasons through no fault of yours, we refund the fair value of the sessions not delivered. Where we end it because information was
withheld or guidance was not followed, no refund is due.
11. Photographs and video. We take photographs and video during sessions, both for training review and for marketing, and may use images,
clips and written feedback featuring you and your dog. If you would prefer that we did not, tell us in writing at any time, before or after the fact,
and we will comply.
12. Your information. We handle your personal information in line with UK data protection law. We use it to provide our services, keep records
of your dog's training and communicate with you, and we do not sell it. You may ask what we hold, and ask us to correct or delete it.
13. General. These terms are governed by the law of England and Wales and the courts of England and Wales have jurisdiction over any
dispute. If any part is unenforceable, the remainder continues to apply. We may update these terms, and the version applying to you is the one
you accepted when you booked. Nothing here affects your statutory rights as a consumer under the Consumer Rights Act 2015, the Consumer Contracts Regulations 2013 or any other applicable law.
By proceeding with your booking you confirm that you have read, understood and agree to these terms, and that you are asking
Hudson K9 to begin providing the service within the 14 day cancellation period described in clause 5.
